MEMBER ALERT for Managers, HR and Payroll. Please be advised there have been variations made to the modern awards effective from 1st November 2018.

The Fair Work Commission 4 yearly review of the modern awards have varied standard clauses relating to:

• Clause 7 – Individual flexibility agreements
• Clause 8 – Consultation about major workplace change
• Clause 8A – Consultation  about changes to rosters or hours of work
• Clause 9 – Dispute resolution
• Clause 17 – Termination of employment
  • No payment deducted if a worker under 18 fails to give notice.

Members should have a current copy of the modern awards and these can be purchased from the MTA  in a bound copy for $30 each plus GST.
