This module provides the student with information on heat management techniques, correct shielding gas requirements and how to correctly set up a GMA (MIG) welder for different weld types and positions. They will also learn the best welding techniques for the weld tests and be able to identify and correct weld defects.

The Welding Qualification Series begins with a brief presentation of machine setup of the MIG and MAG welding equipment as well as providing information on weld defect identification and correction, and how welds will be visually and destructively tested for qualification.

Carries 5 Point for Platinum Individual Accreditation
